Job Details: Job Location: Los Alamitos, CA 90720, Salary Range: $23.00 - $27.00 Hourly, We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and experienced Multi-Specialty Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. This position includes both front-office administrative and back-office clinical responsibilities and will require regular travel between our Los Alamitos and Long Beach locations . The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-specialty medical practice, provides exceptional patient service, maintains strong attention to detail, and is able to effectively support both administrative and clinical operations across multiple office locations. Responsibilities Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner. Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation. Schedule and confirm patient appointments. Answer incoming calls, route messages, and assist patients with general questions. Collect copayments and other patient payments as applicable. Assist with referrals, authorizations, prescription requests, and medical record requests. Check patients out and coordinate follow-up appointments as directed. Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments. Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, medications, allergies, and other clinical information. Assist physicians and providers with examinations and in-office procedures. Perform clinical procedures within scope of practice. Prepare and maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment. Collect, prepare, and properly label laboratory specimens. Perform point-of-care testing and assist with laboratory procedures as directed. Administer medications and injections within scope of practice and applicable regulations. Provide patient education and post-procedure instructions as directed by the provider. Document patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR). Communicate laboratory and diagnostic results to patients according to provider instructions and office protocols. Maintain infection-control, sterilization, and safety standards. Monitor and stock clinical and office supplies. Coordinate with providers and staff to maintain efficient patient flow. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable healthcare regulations. Travel between the Los Alamitos and Long Beach offices as scheduled. Assist with maintaining consistent front- and back-office workflows across both locations. Perform other administrative and clinical duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant diploma or certificate from an accredited or recognized program preferred. Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred. Experience performing both front-office and back-office duties strongly preferred. Experience in a multi-specialty medical practice is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology, basic clinical procedures, and standard medical office practices. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and basic computer applications. Ability to obtain and document vital signs accurately and assist with in-office procedures. Strong patient service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical staff, and administrative team members. Professional, dependable, and able to maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Must be comfortable transitioning between front-office administrative responsibilities and back-office clinical duties based on daily operational needs. Must be willing and able to travel between the Los Alamitos and Long Beach locations as scheduled. Reliable transportation required for travel between assigned office locations.
