1st Shift Forklift Operator

Forklift OperatorThe Forklift Operator will be responsible for performing various duties in the warehouse in a fast-paced lean environment to include: receiving and put-away of all inbound receipts, shipping, and replenishment (stocking) of products to pick locations via forklift or by cart moves. Maintain inventory accuracy. Monitor coolers/freezer temperatures. Responsible for keeping warehouse area organized. Must have both stand-up and sit-down forklift experience and RF scan gun experience.Hours for this role will be Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pmPosition responsibilities include, but not limited to:Available to work a variety of shifts including days, evening, nights and weekends due to varying freight volumesEfficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand as neededMust be able to operate stand up forklifts primarily as these will be used the majority of the timeUtilize mobile handheld devices for tracking shipmentsSafely climb in and out of trailersLift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently)Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope)Safety walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that has potential to be below freezing and may become slipperySafely reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job dutiesVerify and complete required documentation and reportsAdhere to company safety policiesFrequent contact with co-workers and supervisors; fast-paced and deadline orientedSafely work in cold weather conditionsRequired skills and experience:Stand up forklift or high-low forklift experienceMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be able to speak/read/write in English fluentlyGood basic math skillsPreferred skills and experience:High School Diploma or GEDPhysical requirements:Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and armsFrequently required to stand, communicate, and listenOccasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouchOccasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsVisual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusAble to perform repetitive movementsAble to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)Company OverviewMom's Meals is a home-delivered meal service providing fully prepared, refrigerated meal solutions direct to homes nationwide since 1999.
