By focusing on continual improvement, our services remain at the forefront of our industry, and we pride ourselves on delivering our services with the highest degree of integrity.SierTeK Ltd. is seeking a Material Support Technician (Day Shift) to support an opportunity at Randolph AFB, TX.PLEASE APPLY DIRECTLY ON OUR WEBSITE AT SIERTEK.COM/CAREERS Essential Job FunctionsTransport materials between work centers, depot supply locations, and other buildings across the base.Analyze depot work control documents to determine appropriate work centers and material routing requirements.Research and identify component parts, verify item information, and ensure proper routing, packaging, and handling.Coordinate material support activities with production support personnel and supported maintenance shops.Research, analyze, and resolve material availability, supportability, and unplanned order issues using government-provided data and approved management information systems.Research, source, order, receive, store, issue, and track parts, materials, and supplies to support maintenance and production requirements.Initiate purchase requests and expedite procurement of critical, urgent, and specialized materials as needed.Monitor inventory levels, inspect shelf-life items, conduct inventories, and replenish stock and bench stock as required.Analyze material usage, customer demand, and project requirements to establish and maintain appropriate stock levels.Process material issue requests, retrieve and deliver warehouse items, and fulfill customer requirements through applicable supply systems, including COMBS.Monitor material processing systems and generate required BLADE reports to support material management and production operations.Process Due In For Maintenance (DIFM) transactions, repairable turn-ins, inventory adjustments, and material transaction documentation.Coordinate excess material redistribution, serviceable and unserviceable material turn-ins, part reclamations, and asset transfers.Maintain accurate records and authorizations for spare parts, floating stock, locally manufactured items, loaned materials, and courtesy storage assets.Research technical requirements, catalog databases, and cost-effective substitute parts to support maintenance, repair, overhaul, and modification activities.Track material orders, backorders, delivery schedules, and estimated arrival dates; communicate order status and resolve shipment discrepancies.Coordinate expedited material support, MICAP requests, and Awaiting Parts Program (AWP) requirements to minimize production delays.Support property loss, damage, and destruction investigations; prepare survey documentation and resolve inventory and supply record discrepancies.Inspect and operate general-purpose and special-purpose vehicles and forklifts, document required inspections, and safely handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Participate in Tail Team/Integrated Product Team activities, Rapid Improvement Events, and other initiatives supporting production efficiency and government-directed improvement goals.QualificationsMinimum Position RequirementsPrevious experience working in supply, material control, tool control, logistics, or depot operations.High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent.Ability to pass a background check.Strong organizational and communication skills.Ability to work effectively with contractor personnel, Government representatives, supervisors, and management.Ability to maintain accurate records and strict accountability of tools, equipment, and materialsSierTeK is an equal opportunity employer.
