We are seeking an Electroencephalography Technologist (EEG) to support the Veteran community in the Los Angeles, CA area. This position is open to all candidates, including Locum or Traveling professionals. Position Highlights Pay: $38.00 an hour Location: Los Angeles, CA Typical Day (Responsibilities) Independently perform routine and non-standard procedures (EEG and EP), including Awake, Sleep, Portable, and ECS. Carry out routine and specialized procedures and routine long‑term monitoring (LTM/CCTV) and EEG monitoring with extended 10/20 electrode placement. Maintain state‑of‑the‑art quality in the principles, practices, and procedures of Electroencephalography. Perform high‑quality studies for complex and non‑routine procedures in challenging environments such as operating rooms, research, or intensive care. Report patient outcome information, such as complications, to the Service Line Chief. Provide online analysis during testing to obtain the correct diagnostic data. Collaborate closely with physicians from the Neurology Service and the Epilepsy Center of Excellence. Use sophisticated equipment to obtain continuous video‑EEG monitoring in patients with undiagnosed spells. Follow laboratory or hospital guidelines for administrative duties associated with each test. Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). EEG certification via ABRET or AAET. Knowledge of JCAHO and other regulatory requirements. Previous experience with the VA is a plus. If selected, candidates will need to complete credentialing and onboarding requirements consistent with VA medical staff processes.
