Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days/Evenings | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | Shift hours ranging from 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM to 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient plans of care, including physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs
• Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments while accurately documenting care, assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Perform holistic ongoing patient assessments and evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness, educational needs, and necessary changes
• Educate patients, families, and significant others on relevant health information in a timely manner
• Communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team while maintaining a clean and safe environment; may float in rotation including as a sitter

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN licensure or Compact RN licensure
• Active BLS certification
• Active ACLS certification
• Active NIHSS certification
• Active TNCC certification
• Must practice within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and applicable unit-specific standards of practice

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an emergency room or acute care setting
• Familiarity with evidence-based procedures and current clinical workflows in an emergency department environment
