Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with one of our clients looking to fill a Staff Accountant job for the corporate office located in Roseville, CA. This job is 100% in-office! The client is seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented accountant that has experience in real estate orproperty management. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, producing financials, and performing various accounting tasks for a portfolio of properties for both commercial and residential. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a stable, dynamic and growing real estate organization. Responsibilities: - Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare monthly financial statements for assigned properties. - Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow for multiple properties. - Prepare and submit monthly rent invoices and ensure timely rent collection. - Review and analyze financial data to identify variances and trends. - Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. - Conduct monthly analysis of property expenses and provide recommendations for cost savings. - Coordinate with property managers and other team members to resolve accounting-related issues. - Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations. - Assist in the preparation of annual audits Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field would be nice to have but professional accounting experience in real estate/property management is required. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate or property accounting. - Software experience with Yardi or AppFolio is preferred - Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Strong with accrual accounting - Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel. - Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
