ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares and coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to Group Accounting manual. Manages and coordinates working capital (AR; AP; Inventory). Ensures monthly inventory accuracy. Develops and monitors business plan and budgets. Reviews and analyzes acquisitions. Aids in the integration of acquisitions. Manages the account department to ensure compliance of all accounting systems and functions. Mentors and develops a direct team, managing work allocation, training, performance evaluation, and building an effective team dynamic. Reviews all month‑end closing activities including general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and corporate cost allocation. Oversees cash management. Manages the company’s insurance program. Assists with annual external audit by preparing assigned schedules and requests. Participates in the EHS&S committee. Coordinates and resolves various issues with banks and ensures compliance with the Group Treasury policies. Conforms with and abides by all regulatory guidance and internal policies and procedures. Leads or participates in strategic projects. This role involves travel once a month. This is a hybrid position. Experience with acquisitions & integration. Foreign Exchange.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages and motivates staff (including hiring, firing, performance management, and recognition duties). Conducts performance appraisal. Works with the team scorecard/objectives for the accounting department. Trains, directs, and appraises staff. Plans and organizes workload and staff assignments. Issues written and oral instructions; assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.

COMPETENCIES

Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and knowledge of statutory accounting principles. All bilingual in English and Spanish. Strong analytical and accounting skills. Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and FRx or similar programs. Effectively handles multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting; Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred. Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking on new tasks with a high level of difficulty. Responsible for working with minimal up‑front guidance and taking ownership of work product; works closely with all major functional leaders of the Company. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING Master’s degree (M.A.) and/or CPA or equivalent; four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr HR Exchange
