VDOT System Analyst

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Information Technology Division is seeking an IT Systems Analyst. The ideal candidate will have deep SharePoint skills and experience. Responsibilities include aiding in the analysis/requirements gathering, design, configuration, implementation/testing, and support of SharePoint solutions, adhering to SharePoint best practices, preparing documentation, creating sites/pages based on requirements, troubleshooting SharePoint issues, functioning as a liaison between IT and business units, serving as a Search "thought leader" for the enterprise, discerning between SharePoint and other technology offerings, working closely with content owners, providing training for site owners, facilitating SharePoint adoption by end users, becoming a subject matter expert for SharePoint usability, and contributing to improving processes and policies within the SharePoint program.

Skills required include demonstrated ability to synthesize business requirements into system functionality within the SharePoint framework, comprehensive experience with SharePoint configuration, experience in the implementation of SharePoint collaboration tools, customizing web parts and web part pages, in-depth knowledge of SharePoint platforms, experience with SharePoint designer, experience in SharePoint ECM and Integration capabilities, excellent analytical and problem solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, eliciting requirements using various methods, and proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
