Job Description:
Bon Secours Mercy Health - Clermont Hospital is seeking a skilled locum Wound Care Physician to provide coverage at our outpatient clinic. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a dedicated team caring for various wound types, including skin reactions, vascular and diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, and more. The role involves comprehensive wound management, patient education, and supervision of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The physician will assess and treat acute, traumatic, surgical, and chronic wounds, utilizing advanced treatments such as bioengineered skin, debridement, skin grafting, and negative pressure-assisted closure. The coverage is needed to fill a physician gap between permanent hires.


Start Date: 12/08/2025
Coverage Dates: 12/22/2025 - 3/31/2026
Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic
Patient Volume: 15-30 patients per day
Documentation System: Epic
Trauma Level: Not designated


Required Duties:

• Treat skin reactions and prevent skin breakdown
• Manage vascular, pressure, diabetic, and surgical wounds
• Initiate preventative measures and provide comprehensive wound care
• Educate patients and support persons on care techniques and ulcer prevention
• Assess and treat draining wounds and fistulae
• Supervise hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments
• Implement preventative actions to reduce ulcer incidence
• Apply wound dressings and utilize advanced treatments like skin grafting and bioengineered skin
