Position Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for providing a clean, sanitary, comfortable, orderly and enjoyable surroundings for patients, visitors and employees. The Housekeeper promotes sanitary conditions which prevent the spread of infections and odors. The Housekeeper may be required to perform tasks which involve exposure to visible blood contamination or reasonably anticipated blood contamination. The Housekeeper must follow the required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving objects/materials and/or the clean-up of blood, infectious materials or body fluids in accordance with OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards. The Director of Plant Operations supervises housekeeping.

• The Housekeeper is required to lift, carry, walk, stand, stoop, push, pull and climb for periods up to eight (8) hours. Must be able to move continuously during working hours and able to lift and carry 20 - 25 pounds.
