Material Handler - Metal Casting Manufacturing
$20-$25/hour (based on experience)
Monday - Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our metal casting manufacturing team. This role involves handling materials, cleaning metal castings, and maintaining a safe and organized production environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with hand tools, operating equipment, and performing physical labor. Key Responsibilities
- Handle and move metal castings and materials throughout the facility
- Lift, carry, and transport materials up to 40 lbs regularly
- Use hand tools to clean, trim, and finish metal castings
- Operate sandblasting equipment to remove debris, scale, and imperfections from metal parts
- Inspect parts for quality and report defects or inconsistencies
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and production area
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
- Assist with general production and material handling tasks as needed
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling role preferred
- Experience using hand tools and/or sandblasting equipment is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Industrial/manufacturing setting (metal casting facility)
- Exposure to dust, noise, and production equipment
- PPE required (provided as applicable)
