Job Description

Nokia of America Corporation, Infrastructure Systems Administrator, Murray Hill, NJ. Maintain and configure core network infrastructure. Set up Nokia optical network shelves and hardware. Manage, configure, and install Nokia optical network automation applications. Script and automate deployments. Manage file systems, storage arrays, and servers. Troubleshoot network issues. Assist Nokia’s development team with testing of network embedded software. Test containerized simulations for optical network products. Manage symmetric key lifecycle. Provide measurable input into new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of business strategies. Analyze, develop, and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert. #LI-DNI

Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Murray Hill, NJ may be permitted up to 40%.

SALARY RANGE: $138,902 – $163,445 per year

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Telecommunications Systems and Networks, or a related field, and 5 years of post-baccalaureate, progressive, related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Telecommunications Systems and Networks, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.

• Must have 2 years of experience using networking protocols, including OSPF (Open Shortest Path First), BGP (Border Gateway Protocol), VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network), RSTP

• (Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol), DNS (Domain Name System), DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol), or OTN (Optical

• Transport Network);

• Must have 2 years of experience monitoring containerized large scale network simulation;

• Must have 2 years of experience monitoring L2 and L3 (Layer 2 and Layer 3) and VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) networks across different physical locations;

• Must have 2 years of experience using IPsec (Internet Protocol Security) and VPNs (Virtual Private Network) to secure network communications;

• Must have 2 years of experience maintaining Linux and Windows servers;

• Must have 2 years of experience scripting and automating deployments using Python and Bash;

• Must have 2 years of experience using VMware ESXi (Elastic Sky X Integrated) and Proxmox to manage virtual machines; and

• Must have 2 years of experience managing symmetric key lifecycle, including generation, encryption, and rotation, within an enterprise key management system.
