Position Director of Technology and Innovation Location District Office (Districtwide) Days per year 261 days (12-month position) Salary range $39.01-44.62/hour ($81,452 - $93,166 annualized) based on experience and qualifications. $1.50/hour Pay Differential available for holding a MA. (see attached Program Directors and Supervisors Agreement and insurance documents for more information) Position summary Under the general direction of the Superintendent, the Director of Technology and Innovation provides vision, strategic planning, and hands‑on operational management for all district information, instructional, and telecommunications technology systems. The position directly oversees the IT Department, supervising, directing, and working alongside Systems Administrators to maintain a secure, resilient, and forward‑looking digital infrastructure. The Director actively participates in the daily technical workload, maintenance, troubleshooting, and system administration alongside department staff. The Director leads and executes the implementation, procurement, Life Cycle Management (LCM), and Configuration Management (CM) of district hardware, software, and cloud applications, ensuring total alignment with the district's educational objectives, MDE requirements, and contemporary standards in cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance.
