Job Summary The Geisinger Neurology Department is seeking a neurologist to join our growing practice at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes Barre, PA. About the Neuroscience Institute The Geisinger Neuroscience Institute houses the region’s only JCAHO‑accredited, Gold Plus‑certified stroke program, a full IA and IV TPA with 24‑hour, 7‑day neuro‑interventionalist support, vascular neurosurgery, and a complete ancillary support system including its own 40‑bed rehabilitation hospital, active clinical trials, and educational and research opportunities. Geisinger’s Neuroscience Institute spans Geisinger’s three main campuses in Danville, Wilkes‑Barre and Scranton, along with locations in State College and Lewistown, Pennsylvania. Our program includes most neurology and neurosurgery subspecialties along with neurology and neurosurgery residency programs. Geisinger focuses on quality over quantity and developing new management pathways for optimal outcomes. Position Details Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine – required. Certification(s) and License(s): Licensed Medical Doctor – State of Pennsylvania.
