Special Education Teacher - Full-Time

As part of our mission to pave the way for children's success worldwide, Therapy Source is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to provide in-person services to elementary school students at an all-round school. This position is for the current school year.Special Education Teacher Schedule: M-F 8:00AM - 3:30PM (elementary aged classroom of 6 students with autism diagnoses who have assistants working in the classroom as well as behavior support)Special Education Teacher Qualification(s):Licensure as a Special Education Teacher in the state of VirginiaSchool Certification in the state of VirginiaPossession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearancesProof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)Special Education Teacher Responsibilities May Include:Implementing specially designed instruction to drive student achievementConducting progress monitoring data and adjusting instruction based on the dataEstablishing a positive, structured, achievement-focused classroomProviding support to students, parents, and general education staff and supporting student learningMentoring and coaching students on self-regulation and organizational skillsDeveloping effective IEPs that translate into measurable results for studentsParticipating in multidisciplinary meetingsEnjoy scheduling flexibility, impressive hourly rates, and amazing support from our dedicated account team!Along with your resume, please include the best time of day and phone number to reach you.
