31B Military Police - Police Officer

Job Overview Have you ever dreamed of making an impact? As a Military Police Officer for the Army National Guard, you protect, defend, and uphold the law, serving your community, state, and nation. Responsibilities Conducting law enforcement patrols Interviewing witnesses, victims, and suspects during investigations Providing crime scene security and processing Arresting and charging criminal suspects Supporting battlefield operations through circulation control, providing area security, conducting prisoner of war operations, supervising civilian internee operations, and carrying out law and order operations Protecting critical resources, implementing crime prevention programs, and preserving law and order in peacetime Army communities Training & Development Through 10 weeks of Basic Training, 20 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT) and on‑job instruction, you will learn basic soldiering skills, police methods, investigative skills, firearm use, traffic and crowd control, and arrest and restraint techniques. You receive a regular paycheck and qualify for tuition assistance.
