Stroke Neurologist - Inpatient Consult | Level II Trauma & Comprehensive Stroke Center

HOSPITALISTS OF MODESTO MEDICAL GROUP, INC.

Job Description

Job Description

Our organization is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Stroke Neurologist to become part of a dynamic, consult-only inpatient program at a Level II Trauma Center, recognized as a Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. This role is designed for a physician eager to engage deeply in acute stroke management without the responsibilities of an outpatient practice.

What We Provide:
  • Intensive Clinical Focus: Oversee intricate stroke and seizure cases within a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, supported by a robust multidisciplinary team and comprehensive services.

  • Stroke-Centric Caseload: Handle acute ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, transient ischemic attacks (TIA), status epilepticus, and complex inpatient neurology consultations in collaboration with a dedicated team.

  • Cutting-Edge Technology: Work in a modern facility equipped with continuous video EEG capabilities. While interpreting EEGs is not mandatory, candidates interested in this aspect will have the opportunity to do so.

  • Inpatient Consult Model: Focus primarily on inpatient consultations, with the option to engage in clinic work. Your expertise will be utilized where it is most impactful—at the bedside.

  • Consistent Schedule: Enjoy day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM with organized after-hours call. This sustainable schedule is crafted for long-term career fulfillment, allowing calls to be taken from home rather than requiring on-site presence throughout the shift.

Qualifications:
  • MD or DO; Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Neurology.

  • Preference for candidates with a fellowship in Vascular Neurology or Stroke; strong general neurology experience will also be considered.

  • Both recent fellowship graduates and seasoned stroke neurologists are encouraged to apply.

  • Required expertise in acute stroke assessment, tPA administration, and collaboration with neurointerventional and neurocritical care teams.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Attractive compensation package with comprehensive benefits, available as either 1099 or W2. Salary range is between $450,000 and $600,000 annually.

  • Support for continuing medical education (CME) and ongoing professional growth, along with available insurance benefits.

  • A collegial, team-oriented environment with experienced hospitalists and specialists providing support.

  • Opportunity to practice within a system renowned for its excellence in neurological and stroke care.

Are you ready to concentrate on the stroke cases that define your specialty? We would be thrilled to connect with you. Reach out to discover more about this exciting opportunity.
