Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-hour rotating shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Every other weekend and every other holiday | No call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for general medical/surgical patients on a 15-bed, all-private-room unit within a Level I Trauma Center
• Perform initial admissions for patients transitioning out of the ER who have not yet been assigned to a specific unit, and manage their care until transfer
• Utilize Epic EMR, Zebra phones, Omnicell medication dispensing systems, and Aleris IV pumps in daily patient care
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
• Float to other medical/surgical units as needed
• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment requiring strong clinical judgment and adaptability

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (or compact license eligible for use in North Dakota)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Level I Trauma Center experience
• Epic EMR experience
• BLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates living 60–80 miles from the facility may be subject to a local travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-acuity, fast-paced medical/surgical environment
• Familiarity with Omnicell medication dispensing and Aleris IV pump systems
• Experience floating across multiple medical/surgical units
