- Lead, motivate, and oversee crews to ensure productivity, quality workmanship, and adherence to company standards.
- Plan and organize daily work activities to meet project deadlines and operational objectives.
- Coordinate with project managers and supervisors to ensure proper allocation of labor, equipment, and materials.
- Monitor and inspect work for accuracy, ensuring compliance with construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Enforce safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and labor hours.
- Build projects in accordance with construction plans and project requirements.
- Perform additional duties related to the nature of the role as assigned, either temporarily or permanently.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in utility construction, with thorough knowledge of water and sewer systems.
- Previous experience in a foreman or similar leadership role.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency with utility tools, equipment, and basic maintenance procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills.
- Ability to understand and follow established safety guidelines and procedures.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
CLIMBING - in, around, and on equipment
HEAVY LIFTING - of extremely awkward parts and equipment up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist AWKWARD POSITIONS - getting to and from both sitting and kneeling on the ground FLEXIBILITY- awkward reaches
BALANCE - including standing and walking on extremely slick and uneven surfaces while carrying.
VISION- 20/40 corrected vision to see moving safety hazards, moving equipment, vehicles, and obstructions HEARING - corrected to hear verbal safety warnings and instructions from coworkers Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
