Respiratory Therapist Contract OpportunityDeliver essential respiratory care to patients in a dynamic acute clinical environment. This contract opportunity seeks a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist with experience in critical care and NICU. The position features overnight shifts (nights), including every other weekend, with a 36-hour workweek for a 13-week assignment. Candidates must be adept with V60 BiPAP, 980 Puritan Bennett ventilators, and EPIC, and comfortable participating in external patient transports.Schedule:Night shifts (overnights)Every other weekend required36 hours per weekQualifications:Current registration as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT)Proven expertise in critical care, NICU, and respiratory equipment, including V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan BennettProficient with EPIC electronic health recordsAbility and willingness to participate in external patient transportsBLS certification (Adult, Pediatric, Neonatal)Strong communication and multitasking abilitiesKey Responsibilities:Administer and monitor respiratory therapy procedures as assignedDeliver therapies such as Aerosol, CPT/Flutter/PEP Mask, Incentive Spirometry, M.D.I., Cough Assist/Vest, and High Flow CannulaManage BiPAP/CPAP therapy and mechanical ventilation, including setting and responding to alarmsConduct oxygen therapy, suctioning, extubation, EKGs (adult and pediatric), and pulmonary function screeningsPerform arterial blood gas punctures and assist with blood gas laboratory quality controlProcess patient healthcare information via Soarian, and manage medications through MAK and McKesson systemsAdhere to department protocols and maintain thorough recordsSupport departmental in-service programs and additional tasks as delegatedThis role offers an opportunity to make a measurable impact while advancing your clinical expertise in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
