Dental Registered Veterinary Technician – Oceanside Veterinary Hospital $3,000 Sign‑On Bonus for full‑time candidates with an active California tech license. Position Overview Registered Veterinary Technician supporting hospital operations by delivering quality veterinary care and exceptional service. Responsible for patient care, examinations, diagnostics, surgery assistance, nursing care, feeding, medical supplies, triage, discharge, and record maintenance. Key Responsibilities Under supervision of a licensed veterinarian: conduct examinations, interviews, review care plans, complete laboratory tests, and diagnostic imaging. Oral assessment and charting. Scaling and polishing. Simple and surgical dental extractions. Suturing. Anesthesia and monitoring. Conduct patient examinations, collect samples, run diagnostics, review care plans, and administer medications. Assist with examinations and procedures as directed by the veterinarian. Maintain a safe, sanitary environment by sterilizing instruments and disinfecting treatment areas. Accurately document patient conditions, update medical records, and manage controlled drug logs. Pursue continuing education and stay current with veterinary practices. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (LVMT). At least 3 years of surgery and/or dental experience. Knowledge of oral anatomy, dental pharmacology, infection control, post‑operative care, and pain management protocols.
