A CT Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) equipment to help physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans as ordered by physicians
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
• Operate CT imaging equipment safely and efficiently
• Administer contrast media when required and monitor patients for reactions
• Ensure high-quality diagnostic images are obtained
• Follow radiation safety protocols and infection control standards
• Monitor patient condition during procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff
• Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment as needed

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required CT certification preferred or required depending on facility State licensure as required BLS certification
