Your Role in Patient Care

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting individualized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses independently or in collaboration with physicians, as per your credentialing
• Empowering patients and families with knowledge on preventive health, wellness techniques, and chronic disease management
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies in accordance with your scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-ups and overseeing chronic care management
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, patient-centered care
• Meticulously documenting patient information within electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications to Succeed

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Required

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Hawaii
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them within 90 days)
