Pay: $20-21/hr depending on experience

Job Description

This role focuses on refurbishing and customizing office trailers used on construction sites. You will repair, upgrade, and clean returned trailers, transforming them to meet new client specifications through a mix of construction, maintenance, and finish work.

Responsibilities

• Refurbish and customize office trailers according to new client requirements and drawings.

• Perform drywall work, including installation, patching, and repair to achieve a clean, finished surface.

• Carry out painting tasks on interior surfaces to meet quality and appearance standards.

• Replace and install faucets, toilets, and other basic plumbing fixtures as needed.

• Perform light HVAC work, including basic repairs and component replacement.

• Complete light plumbing work and plumbing repairs within the trailers.

• Execute carpentry tasks such as framing, finish carpentry, cabinet building, and general wood repairs.

• Install, repair, or replace flooring and carpet in office trailers.

• Assist with basic electrical tasks such as lighting-related work under appropriate guidance.

• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform daily tasks.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of construction experience, including framing, plumbing, or electrical work.

• Hands-on experience with drywall installation and repair.

• Proficiency in painting interior surfaces.

• Practical plumbing skills, including fixture replacement and basic repairs.

• Experience with light HVAC work and basic troubleshooting.

• Carpentry skills, including framing and finish carpentry.

• Ability to read and work from drawings and plans.

• Strong facility and building maintenance experience.

• Skilled in the safe use of hand tools and power tools.

• Ability to use a tape measure accurately for layout and cutting.

• Troubleshooting skills for basic mechanical, electrical, and facility issues.

• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and strong work ethic.

• Experience with assembly and field service or on-site repair work.

• Capability to perform lighting and basic electrical-related tasks under appropriate direction.

Work Environment

Work takes place in a non-climate-controlled facility, primarily inside office trailers used on construction sites. The trailers are typically under cover and out of direct sun, providing shelter while you work. You will regularly use hand tools and power tools, work from drawings, and handle construction materials such as drywall, lumber, flooring, and plumbing fixtures. The environment is hands-on and active, suited to individuals comfortable with physical work, tools, and a workshop-style setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
