We are a local agricultural supply cooperative, serving the community since 1934. We have grown into four main business divisions: agronomy, retail, energy, and wholesale distribution & milling. Our commitment is to provide quality products and services to our customers and community partners.AFCO distributes pet food & supplies, farm animal feed & supplies, as well as wildlife products. We serve over 800 retail customers throughout the Northwest. Deliveries are provided by the Company's fleet of trucks out of our distribution center warehouses located in Spokane Valley, Centralia, and Burlington, WA.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesComplete orders by accurately picking, loading, and unloading products as neededAccurately place and store products in accordance with company standards and government-regulated specificationsReceive inbound deliveries and prepare outbound shipments for distributionPerform inventory maintenance activities; identify any missing, lost, or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisorSafely operate vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipmentMaintain general upkeep and housekeeping of the warehouse and surrounding area while adhering to OSHA, state, and federal safety regulationsExhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes, and continuously develop skillsCollaborate, communicate well, and effectively relay information with an emphasis on positive professional relationshipsPractice punctual and reliable attendanceJob RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentPass a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employmentDemonstrate strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skillsDemonstrate a commitment to excellence and high standards, especially in providing outstanding customer serviceAbility to effectively communicate both verbally and in writingDemonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Windows and OfficePhysical ability to stand for extended periods; bend, stoop, and kneel frequentlyPhysical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 poundsProfessional appearance and demeanorProven track record of being dependable and reliablePreferred QualificationsExperience working in a warehouse setting or an understanding of shipping/receiving processesProduct knowledge in one or more of: feed, seed, pet food & supplies, hardware, fencing, animal health, tack, clothing & footwear, lawn & garden, or wild bird suppliesExperience safely operating pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipmentProficiency using Windows-based computer software, including Microsoft OfficeScheduleFull-time, onsite position based in Burlington, WA. 40 hours per week, typically Monday – Friday. Qualified applicants must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.Compensation & Benefits$18.00 – $22.00/hour.
