Bank CFO

the client is seeking a Bank CFO for a community bank in the Memphis, TN area. This senior leadership role oversees all accounting functions and provides direction for financial reporting and planning to support growth and expansion. The Bank CFO will work closely with the executive team on forecasting and budgeting, and will help advance the organization’s financial strategy. Key responsibilities include directing organization-wide financial activities such as reporting, planning, supervision, and investments; preparing or directing annual tax return information for completion by outside accountants; and producing financial statements, business activity reports, forecasts, budgets, and regulatory reporting. The role also involves serving as a member of or the chair of the bank’s ALCO committee, supervising teams responsible for financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting, and maintaining current knowledge of policies, directives, and applicable accounting standards. Additional duties include coordinating audits and reviews of accounts and financial transactions for compliance with state and federal requirements; managing and authorizing disbursement requests according to policy; monitoring reserve levels and other financial activities to ensure legal and regulatory requirements are met; evaluating staff performance and recommending personnel actions; and directing financial planning, budgeting, procurement, and investment activities. The Bank CFO will also develop internal control policies and procedures, analyze financial performance to identify improvement opportunities, evaluate funding needs and surplus investment options, and lead training and development in budgeting and financial management.
