We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Liberty, Texas in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This role is ideal for someone who can manage day-to-day financial records with accuracy, maintain organized accounting data, and support smooth financial operations. The position offers the opportunity to contribute across core bookkeeping functions while working with QuickBooks and handling both payables and receivables.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions and keeping bookkeeping data current and well organized.
• Process vendor invoices, prepare payments, and monitor accounts payable activity to help ensure timely disbursements.
• Issue customer invoices, track incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances to support healthy accounts receivable practices.
• Reconcile bank accounts on a regular basis by reviewing statements, identifying discrepancies, and resolving variances promptly.
• Use QuickBooks to enter, update, and review accounting information while supporting reliable financial reporting.
• Assist with month-end bookkeeping tasks by verifying entries and ensuring account balances are properly documented.
• Organize financial documentation and maintain clear records that support audits, reporting needs, and internal review processes.• Hands-on experience performing bookkeeping functions in a detail-oriented business environment.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks and the ability to manage accounting records within the system efficiently.
• Practical experience handling accounts payable, including invoice review and payment processing.
• Practical experience managing accounts receivable, including billing, cash application, and collection follow-up.
• Ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and investigate discrepancies with attention to detail.
• Strong numerical accuracy, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
