Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Pipe Welder for a projects located in and around Richmond, VA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $26/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
Perform multi-pass root, fill, and cap welds on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy pipe in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions
Cut, bevel, align, and fit pipe using torches, grinders, and specialized beveling tools
Read and interpret blueprints, welding schematics, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
Weld and install Schedule 40 steel pipe according to project specifications
Assist with condenser piping installation and related mechanical room work
Maintain quality standards and comply with all job site safety requirements
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Pipe Welder
Strong Schedule 40 steel pipe welding experience
Proficiency with Stick Welding (SMAW)
Ability to perform multi-pass root, fill, and cap welds in all positions
