Job Details In office Monday through Friday 7:45 am to 4:15 p.m. Hourly Rate: Ranges from $23 to $35 per hour, commensurate with experience Duties/Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and CAD models to determine the best machining methods. Operating manual and automated machines (lathes, mills, drill presses, and grinders). Aligning and securing workpieces in the machine, and zeroing out the tools to ensure pinpoint accuracy. Monitor the feed and speed of machines. compute and verify dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of workpieces. Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment, minimizing machine downtime and increasing overall production efficiency. Collaborate with prototypes to resolve fabrication issues and suggest design or process improvements. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Good communication and strong interpersonal skills required (team player). Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations and interpret measurement data. Mechanical aptitude, hands- on understanding of how machinery operates. Blueprint ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) symbols. Knowledge of CNC programming and/or operation a plus Experience A minimum of 5+ years of experience. A formal 4-year apprenticeship programs are welcome. Equal Opportunity Employer.
