This philosophy serves as an unwavering commitment to the customer, supplier, and shareholder, and it serves as the foundation for one of the strongest employee-employer partnerships in American industry.WAVE is currently looking for Material Handlers/Forklift Operators to join our team!The Material Handler/Forklift Operator is responsible for accurately selecting, staging, and transporting materials to support outbound shipments, inbound receipts, and overall warehouse operations. This role requires safe and efficient operation of sit down LP forklifts while maintaining high standards for accuracy, productivity, and safety.Training will be conducted on day shift for the first few weeksRegular shift hours will be: Monday through Friday 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM orMonday through Friday 2:45 PM - 10:45 PMSalary Range: $20.88 - $26.10 (not inclusive of shift differential or quarterly profit sharing)General Responsibilities:Select, build, and stage orders using pick lists, RF scanners, and shipping documentationOperate sit down LP forklifts in a safe and efficient mannerStage, load, and unload materials for inbound and outbound shipments, including pallets, and other materialsTransport finished goods from manufacturing to designated warehouse locations (bulk floor locations and racking)Verify order accuracy, quantities, and product condition prior to shipment or storagePerform and document daily forklift and equipment inspections; report mechanical or safety issues promptlyVerify inbound and outbound paperwork against actual materials shipped or received and enter data into computer systems as requiredPrepare damage reports and scrap or replace materials according to standard operating proceduresDevelop and follow proper load configurations for outbound carriers to ensure safe transportSupport manufacturing operations by supplying materials, clearing finished goods, and removing scrap as neededMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and equipment at all timesFollow all safety policies, job instructions (JI), lock out/tag out procedures, and PPE requirementsActively participate in communication and WAVE culturePerform other related duties as assigned or directedRequired Skills & Qualifications Ability to safely operate forklifts and heavy equipment; forklift certification or ability to become certifiedStrong safety awareness and commitment to following all safety policies and proceduresAbility to handle physical, repetitive work, including mounting and dismounting a forklift throughout an 8 hour shiftAbility to lift up to 70 lbs. using proper lifting techniquesCompetent basic math skillsAbility to read, understand, and follow detailed written and verbal instructions in EnglishBasic computer skills and ability to work with warehouse systemsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work in a fast paced warehouse environmentHigh school diploma or GEDPreferred Qualifications Prior warehouse, order selection, shipping, or material handling experiencePrevious experience operating sit down LP forkliftsWorthington Armstrong Venture (WAVE) offers competitive wages and comprehensive benefit package that includes, but not limited to: health, dental and life insurances, vacation, quarterly profit sharing, and a 401(K) Plan.WAVE is an equal opportunity employer.
