What truly sets us apart in the industry is our commitment to hiring and developing individuals who are passionate about personal and professional growth and who want to be part of a company built on strong, enduring Core Values: Winning, Excellence, Love, Integrity, Gratitude, Humility and Teamwork **General Summary** The Assistant Manager manages overall store operations and the achievement of company goals and directives. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** **Customer Service*** Provide positive representation of Ace Retail Group* Proactively assist customers in solving problems* Greet customers entering and throughout the store; thank them when leaving* Provide a friendly, outgoing demeanor and work well with customers and associates* Ensure all calls and pages are answered promptly and courteously* Resolve customer issues with Ace Retail Group’s best interest in mind* Maintain strong product and store layout knowledge**Store Operations*** Ensure a positive, professional, and safe work environment* Supervise general operations of the store* Open and close the store as needed* Assist with Store Support Center program implementation* Ensure Loss Prevention, Safety, and Audit success* Partner with the General Manager on store operations* Participate in weekly management meetings* Communicate issues to Store Support Center with GM approval* Assist with district projects from the District Manager* Implement Standard Operating Procedures* Maintain cleanliness of sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor areas* Ensure price changes and labels are accurate and timely* Oversee associate training, audits, and reporting* Manage preventative maintenance and repairs* Monitor competitor activity* Perform other duties as assigned**Other Essential Requirements** Ability to exhibit and incorporate our Core Values into daily decisions and interactions:* **WINNING** – In business, money is the score.
