About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 5x8 (15:00 - 23:30) Experience: A minimum of 5 years previous sterile processing experience is required. License: Certification required at hire and maintained. Certifications: CRCST or CSPDT. Must-Have: Must be certified (IASCHM, CBSPD, HSPA), have a 3 or above rating in Robotics, and have worked in a Level II Trauma or similar facility. Description: M-F 1500-2330. The Sterile Processing Tech cleans, prepares, sterilizes, and stores instruments from across the system. The tech also prepares case carts for the operating room. The SPD unit serves 18 surgical operating rooms, 2 labor and delivery operating rooms, a cath lab, and a multitude of clinics. We work with a multitude of vendors for tray instruments. This position will primarily be working in decontamination and will rarely be assembling trays. Education requirement: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
