Medical Assistant- 1st Shift

CAN Community Health is now hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday-Thursday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Friday 8:30 am - 12:30 pm Extended Hours Schedule (bi-monthly rotating schedule): Weekday 10 am - 8:00 pm; Weekend 8:30 am - 12:30 pm Pay Rate: $21.25 - $24.43 hourly based on experience Are you passionate about patient care and ready to make a difference every day? Medical Assistant-Primary Tasks # Performs medical intake procedures including vital signs and history. # Performs immunizations as directed by the physician. # Practice safe phlebotomy skills using standard precautions Practice CAN Community Health’s mission, vision, and values # Phlebotomy Tasks # Identify patients using two unique identifiers and verify test orders prior to specimen collection. # Prepare collection sites using aseptic technique and select appropriate collection equipment. # Label specimens accurately at the point of collection. # Process, centrifuge, and prepare specimens for transport or analysis according to laboratory protocols.
