Nexus has an immediate opening for an experienced Maintenance Technician! Our team members are high performers that care about customer service and exceed expectations. The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in our success.

Nexus at Orenco Station is a 422-unit garden-style community in the heart of Hillsboro's Orenco Station district, with on-site retail and the Orenco MAX station just steps away. Air-conditioned one-, two- and three-bedroom homes feature premium countertops and stainless steel appliances, and residents enjoy a sparkling pool, private resident park, fitness center, and garage and carport parking.

JOB DESCRIPTION

What your day might look like

• Being part of a team and having fun while providing excellent customer service
• Complete resident service requests and repairs in a timely manner (including appliance repairs)
• Prepare apartments for new move in’s by completing “make-ready” process
• Maintain cleanliness of exterior buildings and parking areas
• Assist with vendor management and other duties
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections for equipment

What we are looking for

• Knowledgeable in safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
• Previous experience with painting, entry level carpentry, appliance repair, and basic plumbing
• High level of professionalism in both manner and dress
• Excellent communication skills: ability to read, write and communicate effectively
• Proficient in MS Office Suite

The hourly range for this role is $21.00 - $25.00

Additional Compensation :

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.

• Corporate Positions : In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
• Onsite Property Positions : In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
