Patient Services Rep, Bilingual Spanish Required

Job Title: Patient Services Rep Location: 200 South Orange Ave, Livingston, NJ 07039 Pay Range: $20.60 - $25.84 per hour (New Jersey) Job Overview The Patient Service Representative (PSR) works with practice physicians, manager, and support staff to ensure patient satisfaction and efficient operations. PSRs prepare for patient visits, triage practice calls, schedule appointments, and perform routine clerical tasks. The PSR acts as a practice ambassador, contributing to the overall patient experience, safety, and privacy. Qualifications High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience Clear understanding of the importance of patient satisfaction and safety Strong oral and written communication skills Attention to accuracy and detail Ability to multitask and work under pressure Ability to work independently and in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree Previous medical receptionist experience or background in general office Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical record (EMR) systems Scheduling Requirements Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (Day Shift) Full‑time, 40 hours per week Essential Functions Perform patient check‑in and check‑out functions Answer routine questions in person and over the telephone Perform basic clerical functions such as copying, scanning, faxing, sorting, and distributing mail Create and maintain health record information, files, and organize as needed Coordinate with insurance providers and handle pre‑authorizations and certifications as required Benefits Paid Time Off including Vacation, Holidays, and Sick Time Retirement Plans Medical and Prescription Drug Insurance Dental and Vision Insurance Disability and Life Insurance Paid Parental Leave #J-18808-Ljbffr RWJBarnabas Health
