Design and implement controls improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve reliability. Job Functions / ResponsibilitiesDesigns and implements modifications to existing electrical system which includes robotics, automation equipment and CNC machines. Solicits bids, selects contractors, and coordinates with maintenance and production as required. Ensures projects are completed within budget and on schedule, ensuring that the contractor follows all Paccar Inc safety requirementsCoordinates and supervises major maintenance, emergency repairs, and corrective actions on equipment and facilitiesMaintains necessary records and documentation, preparing management reports as necessaryImplement and maintain computerized PLC and CNCProvide maintenance supervision support as neededContinuous improvement working with IT department and integrated process monitoring systemsFollow plant’s standards for filing and maintaining documentation per ISO standards. Maintains up-to date machine design documentation for all machinesReviews engineering designs for manufacturing feasibility and recommends changes as necessaryPrepare, manage and implement capital budget projects. Support Six Sigma projectsFacilitate effective communication to plant management on project statusWork effectively in a high performance work team based environmentThis is an evening shift positionQualifications & SkillsBSEE or equivalent Technical degree required Minimum 4 years related experience required Familiar with risk assessments and safety evaluation preferred Ability to manage multiple projects with the flexibility to adapt to conflicting requirementsKnowledge of city, state, and federal electrical codes required. Knowledge of mechanical and safety codes preferredKnowledge of Profibus, Profisafe, Safety Integrated, and ASI-Bus preferredPLC programming using Siemens Step-7 and WinCCFlex, TIA Portal preferred CNC programming using Siemens Step-7 Powerline and HMI advance, TIA Portal preferred Demonstrated ability to create and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and ladder diagrams, function block diagrams, STL to effectively trouble shoot systemsExceptional computer literacy.
