Medical Billing Specialist – San Luis Valley Behavioral Health Group Full‑time position located in Alamosa, CO. Qualifications At least 1 year of medical billing experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Experience using medical billing software and web portals of insurance carriers Knowledge of insurance carrier billing requirements and processes Strong oral and written communication skills, customer‑service orientation, attention to detail Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work in an office environment Physically able to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer/phone Responsibilities Prepare and submit medical claims, maintain CPT and HCPCS coding knowledge, and monitor claim status. Research denied claims, post and reconcile payments, verify insurance benefits, obtain authorizations, and communicate billing questions to clients. Collaborate with insurance carriers and internal teams to resolve issues, prepare account statements, maintain accurate records, uphold HIPAA standards, and ensure client information is current. #J-18808-Ljbffr
