Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Financial Consultant with our medical device client in Minneapolis, MN. This is a 5-month contract with a potential for extension.

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Schedule: Team usually works 4 days in office (1 remote), mostly M-Th. Work hours are the normal 9-5, 8-4, or similar...stay the full 8 hours, but free to work remotely some of the day if it works best for their schedule – we're not strict on having to be in the office full day.

Description

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Performs and analyzes financial modeling, economic research, trends and studies subjects such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital, cash flow, investments, and cost against budget, variance analysis, forecasting, financial planning and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements and/or income statements.
• Prepares reports of findings and recommendations, compiles and consolidates financial plans and provides insights to management.
• Develops, maintains, and establishes operational specifications for financial information systems considering such things as information flow, volume, ad hoc reporting, and analysis.
• May provide analysis on business development and may monitor business performance by unit, division or group.
• Work will be mainly around business partnering with our R&D team, supporting the Interventional and Visualase therapies.
• This entails month-end financial reporting for those therapies, being a partner on active and new R&D projects (supporting business cases, collecting / consolidating info, helping prepare presentations on the status of the project, etc), supporting business partners on any ad hoc requests that come up through the month.
• A major focus during the support period will be work on the annual AOP (fiscal year budget) preparation – working on project and cost center forecasts through collaboration with R&D business partners, as well as submitting the annual R&D project business models.

Overall, number of years of experience would be:

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant Finance/Accounting experience, or advanced degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
