Exercise Specialist / Physical Therapy Aide

Position Overview IRG Physical & Hand Therapy is growing and looking for an Exercise Specialist to add to our team. Our Exercise Specialists are integral to the company, assisting patients with exercise plans and modalities, building relationships, and driving the patient experience. This role is ideal for someone holding an undergraduate degree who wishes to gain clinical experience before applying to PT/OT school or another medical program. 35+ locations provide global and regional collaboration opportunities. Qualifications / Requirements High school diploma (Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred) Experience in a customer‑facing position Knowledge and ability to demonstrate body mechanics, functional movement, and exercises Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA laws and compliance regulations Physical Demands / Working Conditions Physical activity including bending, reaching, squatting, lifting, pulling, pushing, and prolonged standing Lifting 35 lbs. from the floor to chest level Demonstrating exercises such as jumping, balancing on one leg, shoulder rotations, and using exercise bands Properly transferring patients with good body mechanics and maintaining patient safety Must work at an IRG facility and be responsible for personal transportation Potential exposure to viruses, diseases, and infections from patients Ability to perform custodial duties using medical‑grade cleaning products, including bathrooms, laundry, and disinfection of exercise equipment Work for extended periods at a video display terminal and using a keyboard Pay & Benefits Information Base salary: $17–$20 per hour depending on experience and location of clinic Benefits (eligibility determined by hours worked): Paid Time Off (Holidays, Vacation, Sick, Personal) Continuing Education Funds Student Loan Repayment Program 401(k) plan with employer match Medical, Dental & Vision Plans Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) Long‑Term Disability Life and AD&D Insurance Employee Assistance Program OUR VISION: Empowering all with a passion and purpose to become their best self.
