Event Custodian

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Overview The Custodian will be responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks, maintaining floors, and conducting janitorial duties in both commercial and residential settings. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas. Maintain floors through buffing, stripping, and waxing as needed to ensure they remain in excellent condition. Conduct janitorial duties in both commercial and residential settings, adhering to established cleaning protocols. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment. Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored. Respond promptly to cleaning requests and maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure that all areas are clean and well-maintained. Qualifications Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not required. Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing. Experience in commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning environments is a plus. Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is desirable. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also being a team player. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
