Solutions Architect

We are looking for a Senior Professional Services Solutions Architect to join our Professional Services team. The role balances selling Snowflake Professional Services engagements and delivering billable engagements. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, self‑starter who brings a passion for addressing business problems through Snowflake solutions. Location: Dallas, Texas or Chicago, IL Responsibilities Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors. Act as a trusted advisor to key customer stakeholders focused on achieving desired business outcomes. Partner with Practice Directors and Managers to scope proposals, Statements of Work, and custom Time and Materials projects. Collaborate with sales executives and account teams on opportunity development and account strategy. Deliver on‑site technical workshops, lead video conference meetings, and assist with deep‑dive technical issues. Communicate common themes from customer meetings to inform delivery teams and evolve the services landscape. Drive project teams toward accelerated adoption of Snowflake solutions. Demonstrate Snowflake technology value throughout engagements, from demos to proof‑of‑concepts to implementation. Create repeatable processes and documentation as a result of customer engagement. Develop industry‑based solutions that add value for other customers. Follow best practices and ensure knowledge transfer so customers can independently extend Snowflake capabilities. Maintain deep knowledge of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors. Qualifications University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 5 years of experience as a solutions architect, data architect, database administrator, or data engineer. Minimum 2 years of practical Snowflake experience leading or participating in services engagements. Minimum 2 years of experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure or GCP). Understanding of the complete data analytics stack from ETL to BI. Hands‑on experience in SQL, data warehousing, cloud data, analytics or ML/AI. Extensive knowledge of large‑scale database technology and data science/AI/ML workloads, OR experience with AI/ML model development and associated tools (Sagemaker, Azure ML, etc.). Software development experience with Python, Java, Spark or other scripting languages. Proficiency in implementing data security measures, access controls and data platform design within Snowflake. Internal and/or external consulting experience. Exceptional written, visual and oral communication skills, able to engage audiences from technologists to C‑suite executives. Bonus Points Big 5 consulting experience. Experience selling or supporting enterprise‑level technical services. Experience with non‑relational platforms for large‑scale data processing (Hadoop, HBase). Familiarity with BI and data exploration tools (Microstrategy, Looker, Tableau). OLAP data modeling and architecture experience. Expertise in a core vertical such as Financial Services, Retail, Media & Entertainment, Healthcare or Life Sciences. Base salary range $166,000 – $218,400. Eligible for Snowflake’s bonus and equity plans.
