Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurses to provide high-quality patient care on our telemetry units. This position involves potential floating to various units and the emergency department to care for patients with similar needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
• Provide patient education and support to foster recovery and wellness.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in medical records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care standards.
• Work at least every other holiday as part of the staffing requirements.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry specialty is required.
• Possession of a current Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
• Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation, with acceptable scores on both assessments.

Shift Details

• Shifts include rotating day (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) and night (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) schedules.
• Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs.
