Responsibilities Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a courteous and professional manner. Schedule patient appointments in an efficient and timely manner, ensuring optimal utilization of office resources. Confirm patient appointments and follow-up as necessary. Respond to patient referral requests within 48 hours. Enter authorization information into the patient account in the system. Print patients' medication lists prior to triage. Obtain and accurately enter patient demographic and insurance information into the patient registration system. Verify insurance coverage and document benefits information. Collect patient payments per office policies. Prepare daily deposits for office co-pays collected. Requirements A minimum of 1 year of reception or medical office experience is required. Experience in cardiology is preferred but not required. Proficiency with E-Clinical Works or similar Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software. Bilingual is preferred but not required. Knowledge of medical insurance verification and office billing procedures is preferred but not required.
