Job Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to support critical cyber operations in highly secure environments. You’ll be instrumental in detecting anomalies, analyzing complex systems, and reinforcing network security to safeguard high‑value missions. Ideal Candidates May Have Experience In

• Cyber Protection, SOC, CSIRT, Incident Response, Vulnerability Assessment, or Blue/Red team roles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational security tools and systems, including servers, firewalls, and network devices.
• Analyze network behavior, investigate anomalies, and identify vulnerabilities to recommend corrective actions.
• Perform security compliance scanning and validate findings with system users and administrators.
• Collaborate with teams for incident response, system hardening, and operational improvements.
• Document and report anomalies, vulnerabilities, and recommended improvements.
• Assist with policy development and additional tasks as needed.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree is a plus.
• IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, GSEC).
• Preferred: Advanced certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, CEH, other GIAC certifications.

Technical Skills

• Experience with network defense technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
• Proficient in network protocol analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump) and SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Kibana).
• Experience in vulnerability scanning, incident response, and threat hunting.
• Familiarity with Linux‑based server and user environments, including troubleshooting and security configurations.
• Familiarity with DoD cyber security frameworks (e.g., RMF, NIST 800‑53) and system defense‑in‑depth architectures.

Knowledge

• In‑depth understanding of network security, adversary techniques, and incident response strategies.
• Proficiency with Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, SMB, RDP protocols.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies and secure system design.
• Familiarity with AI/ML and Cloud technologies.

• Excellent documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Self‑motivated and able to manage tasks independently.
• Strong desire to grow and learn new skills in cyber security field.
