Senior Data Architect

Senior Data Architect Location: Arlington, VA The Senior Data Architect is responsible for developing data warehousing blueprints, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systems to support large‑scale government operations. Duties and Responsibilities Work in a data warehouse environment, including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation. Evaluate the reusability of current data for additional analyses. Translate business needs into long‑term architecture solutions. Define, design, and build dimensional databases. Conduct data cleaning to remove obsolete, unused, or duplicate data. Review object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 8+ years of experience. IBM Certified Data Architect, AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty, or an equivalent industry certification. DoD 8570/8140 IAT‑II compliant. TS/SCI clearance required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience developing and documenting database architectures via architectural strategies at the modeling, design, and implementation stages. Experience designing proposed systems; defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, security, backup, and recovery. Experience with ETL (extract, transform, load) best practices in the creation of the database. Experience determining database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming. Experience managing data structures at the design phase of SQL and Non‑SQL database management. Experience executing projects/programs with similar requirements.
