A dynamic and fast-growing full-service law firm of more than 400 attorneys and professionals, is seeking an experienced Legal Practice Assistant to join its Charleston, SC office. This position requires 1 year of legal experience preferably in the commercial real, litigation or other legal areas.

This is a direct hire position with a salary of $60,000 – 72,000 with excellent benefits located in Charleston SC.

Responsibilities will include time entry, billing, preparing correspondence with clients, external counsel, courts and court administration, proofreading, formatting and preparing multi-state and federal legal filings, filing legal documents (including e-filing), docket management, making travel arrangements, assisting with scheduling/calendar, assisting with discovery. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic self-starter with MS Office, typing, proofreading and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work. Must be able to handle deadlines and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Must have a professional demeanor to work well with all levels of staff attorneys and our clients. Also must have the ability and willingness to work well under pressure and at times more than the standard work schedule in order to accomplish responsibilities of the position. A HS diploma or the equivalent required; 4 year degree preferred, with at least 1-2 years of legal experience in litigation or other legal assistant position.
