Job Summary: The Marketing Technology & Automation Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the technology ecosystem that enables personalized, data-driven member marketing. This role serves as the primary Marketing owner for assigned marketing technology platforms and oversees platform administration, vendor relationships, implementation, workflow automation, audience segmentation, lifecycle journeys, triggered communications and ongoing platform optimization. The Specialist partners across Marketing, Digital, Analytics, IT, Compliance, and other business areas to ensure marketing technologies and data work together effectively to deliver timely, relevant member experiences. This role continually evaluates platform capabilities, performance, utilization, integrations, and emerging technologies to improve marketing effectiveness, operational efficiency, member engagement, retention, and growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Develop and manage automated marketing campaigns across email, digital, in-app, and member communication channels.

·        Build and optimize automated member and lead journeys across key lifecycle stages, including acquisition, onboarding, engagement, financial wellness, product adoption, retention, cross-sell, and re-engagement opportunities.

·        Develop audience segmentation strategies to deliver targeted and personalized member communications.

·        Create triggered communications based on member behaviors, interactions, transactions, and key lifecycle moments.

·        Design and manage marketing workflows that deliver the right message to the right member at the right time.

·        Identify opportunities to improve member and lead journeys through automation, personalization, AI, predictive analytics, decisioning, and emerging technologies.

·        Serve as the primary Marketing owner and administrator for assigned marketing technology platforms, including platform configuration, user access, permissions, workflows, templates, data feeds, integrations, maintenance, and best practices.

·        Maintain an inventory of Marketing technology, capabilities, ownership, integrations, costs, renewal dates, utilization, and key dependencies.

·        Serve as the primary day-to-day Marketing contact for assigned technology vendors, coordinating support, enhancements, troubleshooting, training, roadmap discussions, feature adoption, and ongoing optimization.

·        Lead or coordinate implementation of new marketing platforms and capabilities, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, documentation, launch planning, training, and post-launch optimization.

·        Maintain a holistic view of the marketing technology ecosystem and recommend opportunities to improve integration, eliminate redundant capabilities, increase platform utilization, and introduce technologies that advance Marketing and member experience strategies.

·        Support technology renewal and investment decisions by assessing platform utilization, performance capabilities, business value, and opportunities for consolidation, expansion, replacement, or elimination.

·        Partner with Marketing and other cross-functional teams to develop, launch, and optimize automated campaigns and technology-enabled member experiences.

·        Establish and monitor performance measures for automated campaigns, member journeys, and marketing platforms, including engagement, conversion, product adoption, journey completion, platform utilization, incremental lift, and ROI where measurable.

·        Use data and member insights to improve personalization, engagement, marketing effectiveness, and audience decisioning.

·        Partner with cross-functional teams and vendors to support accurate data flows, integrations, audience definitions, tracking, and platform functionality.

·        Support broader marketing initiatives through automated, personalized, and data-driven communication strategies.

·        Develop and maintain platform documentation, standard operating procedures, and training resources to help Marketing and applicable business partners effectively use marketing technology capabilities.

·        Establish and follow quality assurance, testing, approval, documentation, monitoring, suppression, and preference-management processes to ensure automated communications are accurate, timely, appropriately targeted, consistent with brand standards, and aligned with applicable compliance, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

·        Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Information Systems, Digital Marketing, or a related field preferred.

·        2-4 years of experience in marketing technology, automation, lifecycle marketing, CRM, SaaS platform administration, digital marketing, or a related field.

·        Experience building and managing automated marketing campaigns, workflows, and customer or member journeys, with experience administering marketing technology or SaaS platforms preferred.

·        Experience with vendor management, technology implementation, platform configuration, data integrations, or marketing technology ecosystem management preferred.

·        Strong understanding of audience segmentation, personalization, triggered communications, and lifecycle marketing.

·        Experience using data and performance metrics to optimize automated campaigns, member journeys, and technology utilization.

·        Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, platform initiatives, implementations, vendors, and workflows simultaneously.

·        Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify process improvements, automation opportunities, platform issues, and technology solutions.

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·        Ability to collaborate effectively with Content, Digital, Analytics, IT, Compliance, vendors, and other cross-functional teams.

·        Experience in financial services or a regulated industry is a plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

·        Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent within the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards

·        Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards

·        Must be able to perform prolonged computer-based work and other standard office functions. Occasional local or business travel may be required based on business needs.

·        Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone
