Pay Pay Rate: $33.37/hour plus an additional $5.09/hour for health and welfare benefits. Job Summary Provides Records Management Program (RMP) services, including initial receiving, preparation for digitization, validating records cataloging, and storage post digitization. Operates and calibrates specialized high‑speed scanning equipment to meet Performance Work Statement (PWS) standards and procedures. Independently checks quality and corrects scanning quality issues. Primary Duties Operate specialized IBML ImageTrac 6400 high‑speed scanning equipment and other digitization tools. Digitize hardcopy documents/artifacts (e.g., maps, charts) for storage in an electronic archive or database. Perform basic maintenance on equipment, hardware, and software used in the digitization unit. Prepare documents for scanning (remove clips, staples, etc.) and reassemble them afterward. Scan documents, adjust image quality, perform de‑skewing, image cleanup, and removal as needed. Add indexing fields and image information to scanned documents. Compile scanned documents according to established RM processes and return them to record boxes or tubes. Assess scanned documents for quality and legibility, ensuring regulatory compliance and equipment functionality. Communicate progress and concerns to the manager, providing daily status updates. Maintain a clean, safe work area throughout the day. Perform all assigned training on time and other related responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or state‑certified equivalent. 2–4 years of specialized experience in document control and imaging preferred. Information Technology certification with at least 4 years’ experience preferred. Top Secret/SCI government security clearance with polygraph is required. Knowledge of document scanning, data entry, and production processes. Ability to operate digitization equipment and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Experience with scanning unique artifacts of varying sizes, materials, and delicate condition. Familiarity with IBML ImageTrac software (SOFTTRAC SCAN and DOCNETICS SUITE). Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, push, pull, and stand or walk for long periods. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and communication tools such as Cisco Jabber. Strong attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills. Capability to prepare alphabetical or numerical orders and correlate them with RMP accession numbers. Knowledge of basic records management processes and procedures. Ability to work with materials that may contain allergens, dust, mildew, or inactive mold, using proper safety equipment. Physical Demands The job requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching for long periods. The employee must lift or move items up to 50 pounds and may need to stand or walk in a loud environment for significant durations. Work Environment The noise level is loud. Proper safety equipment (masks, gloves, etc.) may be required when handling materials that may contain allergens, dust, mildew, or inactive mold.
