Project Accountant Full Time Kinston, NC, US 6 days ago Requisition ID: 1005 Responsibilities All project accounting transactions: invoicing clients and recording revenue to the correct job Processing accounts payable, ensuring purchase orders are properly prepared, approved and coded correctly to the job Reviewing payroll transactions to ensure all time and costs are coded to the correct job Allocating other expenses to jobs as needed Ensuring all job estimates received from sales and operations are properly recorded and updated in the accounting system Reviewing jobs regularly to ensure all expenses are properly coded to the project and that only direct expenses are coded to jobs Keeping accounts receivable current and collecting from clients as necessary Providing operations with job reports as requested and ensuring the accuracy of all information before issuance Qualifications and Responsibilities This position requires the ability to work on assignments that are complex in nature where independent action, judgment and a high degree of initiative are required. The Project Accountant requires a strong combination of analytical, decision‑making and interpersonal skills. As part of the accounting department, the role supports the mission and goals of the department by providing superb client service to the sales and operations divisions, developing and implementing internal controls, processes and recording accurate financial data.
