Maintenance Technician (B&C) - BWI Airport Shuttle

Transdev in Baltimore, MD (BWI Airport Shuttle) is seeking a B‑Level and C‑Level Diesel Technician to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel and gasoline engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles. Pay C‑Level Technician: $32 – $35/hr (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement). Starting pay $32 with progression to $35 over 3 years. B‑Level Technician: $35 – $40/hr (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement). Starting pay $35 with progression to $40 over 3 years. Benefits Vacation: up to 14 days per year. Paid Sick Leave: 8 hrs monthly for full‑time employees / 5 hrs monthly for part‑time employees. Company‑paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacements on diesel engines. Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacements on gasoline engines. Assist fellow technicians with advanced diagnostic and repair tasks. Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance. Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine repair strategies. Perform advanced troubleshooting, including overhauls and rebuilds of engine components. Other duties as required. Qualifications 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic. Minimum CDL B with Airbrake certification. ASE certifications required within 90 days of start date; H4 Brakes & H8 PMI ASE program provided. Mechanic’s tool set. Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed. Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. Physical Requirements Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions – 100% of the job is performed outdoors. Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); walk long distances, often on uneven surfaces. Push and pull objects up to 100 pounds; lift material up to 50 lbs.; bend, kneel, or crouch as required. Work in heavy traffic areas and tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
